My love for the outdoors started with my dad. He w My love for the outdoors started with my dad. He was a mountaineer in the Philippines. He was the one who spearheaded our family adventures and camping trips. But really prioritizing outdoor adventures didn’t start until I was an adult and even more so, once I was in medical school and into residency. It was a break from the hours studying, the long stretches of shifts, the overnight calls.When I became a mom, I knew that I wanted to raise our kids to love the outdoors as well so we kept going on smaller adventures. Being out in nature has been so good for my soul as a busy physician and as a mom. There are so many benefits for being in nature for my kids but also for myself.That’s why I started the account. To share how important it is for us to connect with nature. To share ways to get outdoors even if it’s just for a few minutes.
